Lester Johnson

Lester “Les” LeRoy Johnson, age 54, of Culbertson, passed away February 27, 2005 of heart failure. He was born August 17, 1950 to Nonie and Jeanne Tlustosch Johnson in Sidney. Les was raised and attended schools in Culbertson, graduating in 1968. He served in the Navy from 1969 to 1975. He worked in the trucking industry after leaving the Navy. He was presently working for Ruby Transportation out of Dickinson, ND. He worked in the trucking industry for 30 years. Les enjoyed visiting with friends and drinking coffee. He traveled a lot and was a hard worker. He loved watching his daughter Ashley in sports. He will be dearly missed. His best friend and companion Lois Moran of Ft. Kipp, daughters Shannon Carpenter of Great Falls and Ashley Moran of Ft. Kipp, survive him. He is also survived by a brother Keith (Anna) Johnson of Bellflower, CA; sisters Sue (Barney) Orand of Billings and Carol (Thomas) Finnicum of Joliet; and four grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services were on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 2 pm with visitation two hours prior to the service at Everson Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Culbertson. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Culbertson.
